AUP Cares' Bachelor & Bachelorette Auction
One of AUP’s most active clubs, AUP Cares, started the semester off with hot dates, happy hour specials and charity! In the AMEX Cafe this past Tuesday, October 13th, the AUP Cares club hosted their Bachelor & Bachelorette Charity Auction to benefit Africa Tikkun.
Africa Tikkun is a non-profit organization based out of South Africa that builds houses for families in need. AUP Cares has been fundraising for Afrika Tikkun for over two years and have been able to help build homes for multiple families.
Singing, dancing and jokes were told to get the crowd of students to start bidding on eligible daters. As the drinks began to flow, so did the cash. At first dates were sold for around 50 euros and by the end of the night 1,325 euros had been raised for Africa Tikkun.
