Visit a comfort food castle in the heart of Bastille.

Want a grilled cheese like no other? One that can't even be found in the States? The Grilled Cheese Factory in Bastille has you covered. This Parisian venue, which opened last year, has taken a new spin on the age-old classic. Combining mac 'n' cheese and grilled cheese, they’ve created the ultimate comfort sandwhich, one to rule them all.

The Grilled Cheese Factory wears its American roots on its sleeve. The chef cooks diligently right at the entrance, the sweet aroma of his creations floating through the air. Customers sit on urban bar stools in the lofty New York vibe setting.

"Finally, an American that speaks our language," reads one of the signs hanging on the exposed brick walls. Perhaps it's a good ol’ grilled cheese that will persuade Parisians to love Americans after all—and it's working, as the restaurant is equally as popular with Parisians as it is with Americans.

"I love this place, it’s the best grilled cheese I’ve ever had without a doubt," said Savannah Stone, an anglophone student in Paris. "I come here all the time." Savannah ordered the standout "Fabrication Mac&Cheese," a sandwich with homemade Macaroni & Cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, and caramelized onions. Other sandwich options include the chef's unique Mac&Cheese, Pastrami, Veggie, and many others.

The Grilled Cheese Factory is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, whenever you feel the need for a quick comfort food fix.
