Visit this chic French bistro on the Right Bank to fulfill your "Midnight in Paris" fantasies.

Cool, casual, and rustically chic, Poulette embodies everything Owen Wilson and Woody Allen promised Paris to be. A brief jaunt through all the touristic wonder and mystique of the Right Bank and Poulette’s understated, retro ambiance will snag your gaze. Despite its generally hip and unpretentious tone, reservations are a must. A Parisian historic monument, Poulette attracts a range of diners. Its menu might not be long, but its line of patrons can be. Reserve a table for after 9:00 pm to enjoy a meal lacking the loud chatter and cackle of Americans.

Poulette is influenced by Soho and Los Feliz, fusing metropolitan, historic charm with hipster aesthetics to create a space oozing with cool. Mood lighting, the melody of quiet chatter, and Belle Époque ceramic tiles wrapping around the dining space only add to the old-fashioned French bistro. A large zinc bar encompasses the front of the quaint restaurant, where a few mixologists craft their many speciality drinks. Their signature drink menu provides a quality offering of dinner and dessert cocktails as well as fun non-alcoholic options for the sober folk.

Poulette's short menu prides itself on its farm-to-table principles, allowing the ingredients to speak for themselves. The restaurant's stylistic approach of "less is more" is carried throughout their menu.

Vegans and vegetarians are welcome, but carnivores, this is your locale. Known for some of the best steak frites around, Poulette's signature dish does not disappoint. A generous portion of steak cooked to your liking is accompanied by a mound of classic, freshly seasoned fries and a green salad dressed with the restaurant's house vinaigrette. If space allows, Poulette's desserts take a playful, yet elegant spin on traditional Parisian sweets, utilizing fresh ingredients to create a tasteful, simple post-dinner treat.

And, yes, ironically, Poulette is not known for its chicken, but instead its beef, taking a rather French spin on the Chick-Fil-A advertising campaign. Tucked away in the first arrondissement, Poulette offers a perfectly Parisian evening with a fresh fusion of cool and classic French cuisine.
