Meals in Mugs
The school week can be incredibly hectic and leave you coming home late in the evening with little to no energy to make a meal. You go home and just look for the quickest and easiest thing to eat, usually leading to unhealthy chips, too much sugar, or being simply unsatisfied. This night is different, this night you're going to change it up and grab your mug. No not for a cup of much-needed caffeine — but for your new go-to yummy meal.

These days, there are mug-meals all over the web ranging from the most simple to a little intricate. Huffington Post released a list of "7 One-Mug Meals That Make Dinner A Cup of Gooey Goodness" that is a list of your warm and cheesy dreams come true and SheKnows has 23 Mug Meals That Will Take Your Microwave Cooking To The Next Level. All of these meals are quick to prepare and take about two minutes to heat up in the microwave: Little time, little energy, and little mess. Buzzfeed has another list of 18 Microwave Snacks You Can Cook In A Mug for those midday pick-me-ups. Who doesn't love a good snack?

These meals in mugs are not only great for the individual, they are great for the budget. Almost all of these meals and desserts require little ingredients which decreases your grocery bill and makes the ingredients you do buy last longer. My personal favorite easy dessert is the Peanut Butter Cake Mug. All you need is one egg, about 1 1/3 tbsp of sugar, and 3 tbsp of peanut butter. Just cook it in the microwave for about 2 minutes. It's perfect for the peanut butter lovers, satisfying, and uses many ingredients you probably have lying around. So next time you complain about not wanting to cook a full meal, give your coffee mug a second glance and consider one of these delicious alternatives.
