Ten Paris boutiques proving that the best fashion finds are often second hand

We can probably all agree that shopping vintage not only makes you hotter, it also makes you smarter. Instead of showing up to a party in the same Reformation dress or Brandy Melville top that half the room already owns, vintage lets you find pieces with real personality.

Oh, and did I mention it's also better for the environment? Shopping vintage keeps perfectly good clothing in circulation and reduces demand for new garments. The average EU citizen buys 19 kilograms (around 42 pounds) of clothing every year. This is enough to fill a large suitcase per person each year. It's hard not to think ...yuck, right? Yuck like last season's Zara top that shrank in the wash after wearing it once.

As a fashion student living in Paris, vintage shopping has become one of my favorite ways to explore the city. Each store has its own personality, aesthetic, and sourcing network, and stepping inside often feels like entering a small fashion archive. Some boutiques focus on high-end designer pieces, while others specialize in streetwear, eclectic finds, or romantic vintage silhouettes.

And here's a little secret: sometimes old things are better than new things. Vintage clothing has character, history, and craftsmanship that's often hard to find in today's fast-fashion world. (Unlike your ex, some things absolutely belong in the trash).

This guide highlights ten of the best vintage shops in Paris, each offering something unique. Whether you're searching for rare designer pieces, everyday vintage staples, or a statement item no one else will have, these store represents the creativity, individuality, and sustainability that makes Paris's vintage scene so special.

Nouvelle Rive

Address: https://8 Rue des Écouffes, 75004 Paris, France

Located in the heart of the Marais, Nouvelle Rive feels more like a curated fashion archive than a typical vintage shop. I recently bought a pair of vintage Dior sunglasses from Nouvelle Rive. Did I have the money? No. Am I absolutely obsessed and wear them almost everyday? Yes. They replace all of the old lenses with new ones while keeping the original vintage frames, so they feel both classic and completely new. Also, all of the girls who work there are so sweet and welcoming. They were even giving me tips on how to improve my French while I was looking around.

Actually, while I was there, I asked the girls working the register how Nouvelle Rive sources their pieces, and their answer made the whole store make even more sense. They explained that it's "a different kind of store," where each rack is curated by a different person, meaning they work with multiple curators who each bring in their own collections. That's why the store feels so diverse yet still intentional. You're not just shopping one perspective, but a mix of carefully selected styles all in one place.

Système Solère

Address: https://23 Rue des Écouffes, 75004 Paris, France

Right on the same street as Nouvelle Rive (literally less than a minute walk away) is Système Solère. If Y2K is your vibe, this is where you should start. The store gives off a designer feel (and yes, they definitely do have designer pieces), but what makes it even better is that you can also find more mid-range items within this curated space. Most jeans and tops fall around 40–60 euros, (still a little steep I agree) but if you unfortunately have expensive taste like me, you can have your dream vintage wardrobe without breaking the bank. They also have an amazing selection of shoes and boots, perfect if you’re trying to squeeze in one last good boot purchase before winter comes to a close.

THE ROOM- Vintage Shop

Address: https://71 Rue de Turenne, 75003 Paris, France

THE ROOM truly lives up to its name. Only one room, it feels less like a clothing store and more like you are browsing Paris Hiltons closet. The racks are filled with Prada, Yves Saint Laurant, Chanel, Gucci, and other legendary fashion houses.

And don't worry about any fakes sneaking in. When I was there, I asked one of the girls working about authenticity, and she explained that they source many of their clothing and bags directly from Japan and follow a very strict authentication process. It definitely shows in the quality of the pieces. You can check their process yourself: https://theroom.fr/en/pages/authentification-et-qualite

Kanelle Vintage

Address: 12 Rue Rochechouart, 75009

Kanelle Vintage is for my dreamy, whimsical girlies. The shop is filled with soft, beautiful, and feminine pieces. Think delicate lace, flowing silhouettes, and beautiful pastel slip dresses. Many of the items date back to the 1930's and 1940's, giving the space its romantic and ethereal quality. Everything in the shop fits its light, feminine, and romantic aesthetic.

That feeling is very intentional. I talked to the founder of the store and they explained,"I've always been drawn to pieces that embody a sense of timeless elegance. At Kanelle Vintage, I select each garment for its beauty, its story, and the quality of its materials -along with that quiet, emotional pull you can't quite explain. It's a softer, more intimate approach to vintage, where every piece is meant to be worn, loved, and lived in again."

If you want to feel like a princess, stop at Kanelle. There is no doubt that it's one of the most magical shops in the city.

The Statement

Address: https://51 Rue de Turenne, 75003 Paris, France

Every item at The Statement is bold, luxurious and eye catching. The shop is known for its insane fur coats and standout designer bags. This is not where you go for basics, this is where you go for statement pieces.

A spokesperson for the shop shared, "The Statement is a designer and premium vintage shop owned by three friends where everything is hand picked. You will find rare pieces, such as mink fur, fox fur, lamb leather coats, and designers like Chanel, YSL, Dior... And you will be amazed by the upstairs which is called the 'bags paradise': this is the place to find YOUR DREAM BAG."

Bobby

Address: https://89 Rue Réaumur, 75002 Paris, France

There are four Bobby stores in Paris. So, if you wanna go, you can easily find one near you, but why not just hit them all? I bought my first ever real fur coat here and I'm still in awe that I have something so chic in my closet. They have one of a kind pieces, but also a great place to go for vintage staples like denim jackets, oversized blazers, vintage band tees, and well-worn leather jackets. This is the perfect place to go if you are beginning to dip your toe into vintage fashion because there is a 100% chance of finding something you wanna buy.

Chez Snow Bunny

Chez Snow Bunny is easily one of the most playful and fun stores in Paris. It has an amazing chaotic energy for the manic pixie dream girls.  The racks are filled with crazy colorful Y2k vintage pieces, fur coats, and quirky statement items. It's the kind of place where you will find your dream birthday outfit within their racks of iconic vintage party dresses from the early 2000s. Chez Snow Bunny attracts the fashion girlies and the creative crowd looking for vintage pieces that feel bold, nostalgic, and unapologetically expressive.

This place recently blew up on TikTok and for a good reason. Nuovo blends vintage and contemporary fashion with classic pieces, but styles them super crazy and fun. You can find good vintage staples like tailored blazers and midi skirts to wear to work, but you can also find crazy statement pieces like fur boots and vintage belts. Celebrities like Bella Hadid and Iris Law frequent the shop, so if that's any encouragement to let you know it's legit, it's legit.

Thanx God I'm a V.I.P

Address: https://12 Rue de Lancry, 75010 Paris, France

Hey boys I see you, this one is for you too. Not only is this place a dream for girls looking for classic vintage coats and blazers, they also have a great selection of sweaters, jackets and coats for my men out there. Thanx God I'm a V.I.P is a landmark in its own right, thanks to Sylie Chateigner the owner. Make sure to check out their instagram and website because they keep it well up to date with their latest treasures, all vetted by Chateigner of course.

Address: 42 Rue des Blancs Manteaux, 75004 Paris, France

Entremains is one of the most concept-driven stores in Paris. It's not just about what you buy, but how you wear it. The shop takes a completely different approach to vintage, focusing on building full looks rather than just selling individual pieces. As a spokesperson for them explains, "we don't just sell vintage pieces, we build silhouettes."

What makes Entremains so unique is their ability to take pieces that might seem simple at first glance and completely transform them through styling, proportion, and context. Their entire selection is rooted in a strong, intentional point of view, where every item fits into a larger vision. They're especially known for their perfectly cut leather jackets, carefully selected Levi's 501s, and vintage Made in USA t-shirts- classic staples that they reinterpret into something fresh and instantly recognizable. At Entremains, it's never just about the piece, it's about how everything comes together.

Amarsi- Vintage Designer Archive

Address: https://110 Rue Réaumur, 75002 Paris, France

Amarsi Paris is one of the newer names on the Paris vintage scene, but it already feels incredibly elevated and intentional. Founded in December 2024, the brand focuses on curated archive runway pieces alongside more accessible designs, all with a refined, luxurious edge. Inspired by vibrant Italian aesthetics, every piece is selected to help the wearer stand out. This is vintage that feels bold, confident, and fashion-forward.

That vision comes through clearly in the space itself. The boutique, entirely redesigned by founder Léa, offers an intimate and stylish shopping experience in the heart of the Sentier district, an area deeply rooted in Paris's fashion history. Everything, from the layout to the selection, feels thoughtfully curated, making Amarsi not just a place to shop, but a destination for discovering vintage in a more modern, elevated way.
