Board updates, upcoming events and club budget decisions.

Two new representatives were introduced to the board. Ebba Cox, a sophomore at AUP who is building her own major, has been appointed to a seat. A new visiting student representative from George Washington University has also joined. A portion of the meeting was dedicated to welcoming these members.

Logistics for several February events were confirmed. The location for next Thursday’s town hall has been set for the G Room in the Atrium (QQII). The event time has been slightly extended. “Family Feud” will take place on Friday, February 13, from 6–9 p.m. in Q101. SGA executives, student organization leaders, senators and PAS leaders are invited. The Presidents’ Roundtable is scheduled for February 19. SGA is still looking for a room to host that event.

Budget information was reviewed, including the overall annual allocations. Student clubs have a total annual budget of €60,000, while the Senate has an annual budget of €2,000. The board also reiterated that any individual budget request over €1,500 is automatically tabled rather than immediately approved.

Multiple student organizations submitted funding requests. Clubs mentioned during the meeting included Adventure Club, Boxing Club, Theatre Club, Casita Club, SJP Club, Black & Abroad, The Impact Club and organizers of February events.

Several budgets were approved during the meeting. Funding was approved for Theatre Club, Casita Club, Black & Abroad, SJP Club, The Impact Club and the February events budget. Other requests were either tabled due to exceeding the €1,500 threshold or left for further consideration.

Overall, the meeting focused primarily on introducing the two new board members and reviewing, approving or postponing decisions on club funding, while also confirming details for upcoming SGA-hosted events later in February.
