The perfect weekend getaway.

Majorca is a Spanish island located in the Mediterranean off the coast of Spain. This island offers everything and anything for guests looking to visit at any time of the year. Unlike other European islands like Ibiza, Mykonos, and Santorini, Majorca includes mostly everything from restaurants, shopping, activities, and nightlife all year around. The island has direct flights from Paris into Palma de Mallorca Airport, which is located in the capital, Palma.

Activities offered on the island include sightseeing, cliff jumping, beach relaxing, ATV tours, biking tours, hot air balloon rides, and boat tours/rides around the island of Majorca. Sighting seeing on the island can be done through either a tour, individually or in groups. There are many tours that can be found online and in the town of Palma people can purchase tickets for the hop-on and hop-off bus at any of the stops and see all of the main attractions at their own pace. The big attractions in Majorca include the Palma Cathedral, Bellver Castle, the Palma Aquarium, Cuevas del Drach, which is a cave in which individuals can go down into and walk the paths or take a rowboat tour through the waterway.

Majorca is full of restaurants that offer varying cuisines for any food lover. Bakeries have cheap and to die for Spanish goodies that are sure to satisfy college students on a budget. Restaurants are filled with Spanish food, American food, Japanese food, and so on. "We have been coming to Majorca for years and part of the reason is that some of our favorite restaurants are here." stated happily, Mike Acker, an American visitor that comes every year with his family. After dining a delicious meal guests are able to party the night away at any of the bars or clubs where they are sure to have a night to remember filled with endless memories.

In February when the weather is warm, activities of all kinds are offered for the thrill seekers and adventurers. The water is chilly at this time but if you are up for the challenge, cliff jumping is available with wetsuits to protect you from the cold. No matter what the temperature is outside, there are beaches all over Majorca that are great for exploring or hanging out. Some of the best beaches on the island include Cala Formentor in Northern Majorca, Sa Calobra Beach in Western Majorca, Cala Major Beach which is not far from Palma, and Es Calo des Moro Beach in Southern Majorca. "Sa Calobra Beach is hands down one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen," said Alana Andersen, a frequent tourist of the island. The best part about Majorca is individuals are able to rent a car or the island has public transportation such as trains and buses that allow for visitors to travel to other beaches or towns after flying into the city of Palma. Biking is very popular amongst natives and locals. Palma is the main city on the Spanish island so seeing many of the attractions are accessible by using a bike to move from destination to destination. Lastly, for water lovers, visitors have the chance to take to the sea and boat to different parts of Majorca. Tours can be done privately, on a party boat, half-day trips, and full day trips.
