It looks like American expats in France are #FeelingTheBern.

American citizens living abroad had the chance to vote in person at the Global Presidential Primary this past week and the results came out last Thursday morning, March 10th. The Global Presidential Primary allows expatriates the chance to vote from abroad without being counted as part of their home state primary. The American University of Paris hosted Democrats Abroad by setting up the first floor of Combes as a voting precinct and welcomed a sizeable turnout of expats. From March 1st to 8th, precincts like this were set up all across France: in Paris, Aix, Avignon, Bordeaux, Caen, Grenoble, Marsaille, Nice, Strasbourg, and Toulouse.

Democrats Abroad released a statement via email to their subscribers announcing the results of the global primary:

Bernie Sanders came in first with a landslide 62.67% of votes, with Hillary Clinton following at 36.34%.

It is important to note that these numbers are based only on votes cast in France and do not include the other countries also involved in the global primary. An official announcement from the Democratic Party is to be released in the following days confirming these numbers. "Democrats Abroad will then hold a combination of local, regional and worldwide Caucus meetings to choose delegates to the Democratic National Convention" they stated on their website.
