Make your life a little sweeter by catching the next chocolate exhibition.

From October 28 to November 1, Paris hosted an amazing event: Salon du Chocolat at the expo centre at Porte de Versailles. The exhibition will also take place in Lyon, Marseille, Brussels, London, Milan, Moscow as well as a few cities in Asia and the Middle East. There are various exhibitions hosted in different countries every year, so no worries if you missed out this time, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to visit this chocolate feast. I’ve visited the exhibition in Paris this year and here are a few reasons why you should look forward to attending the salon. Without further ado, here are six reasons why you should visit the Salon du Chocolat in Paris:

1. There were over 500 participants from 60 different countries, with 200 world famous chefs and pastry chefs. You’ll have the opportunity of trying many sweet and chocolate products from every corner of the world.

2. It’s not only about chocolate. If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll certainly enjoy the diversity of candies, chocolates, pastries and all sorts of sweet delicacies offered to you for tasting and purchasing. Usually, there is a large stand with various spices from all over the world, so if you enjoy cooking, be sure to spend a few minutes picking out your colorful additions to the dish. Also, there is a creative cocktail bar, fresh coffee booth and a beer stand to wash down the sweetness in your mouth.

3. Be sure to meet a lot of chocolatier chefs from Japan; they are true artists of taste and presentation. The mixture of flavors that they incorporate into their chocolate is incredible; for instance, I’ve tried and quite enjoyed a wasabi chocolate as well as a chocolate candy that had five flavors, which you gradually taste when eating. They tend to present pastries, that look like artworks and it’s a shame to even eat them, as your too afraid of ruining the magnificent creation.

4. Every year, they launch a chocolate fashion show. A few famous chocolatiers and couture designers create 15 dresses inspired by chocolate. If you’re a true chocolate lover, you will have the opportunity to express your passion for the delicacy through gorgeous cocoa looks. Also, you will be able to witness enormous and complex chocolate sculptures during the show.

6. Finally, you should visit one of the Salon du Chocolat exhibitions, just because it’s a lot of fun and delicious. You get to learn about chocolate production in various countries as well as their cultural preferences of the wide selection of the sweet delicacy.
