Sing your heart out, midterms are over.

On Friday, March 18th, the AUP student body celebrated the end of midterms with Karaoke at the Amex. The night started off as any: Lounging among friends with a few beers.  But Amelia Harvey wanted to create a different vibe for tonight's soirée, and what she had planned, none of us expected. To get everyone in the mood, there were two kegs for happy hour and free pizza.  At first, we were too shy to sing, but a lack of sobriety fixed that right away. To get everyone in the mood, Amelia started off with Wonderwall and I followed with my best Britney Spears impersonation of Toxic.

Cody Campbell came in hot belting 'I Will Survive'

Rebecca and Monte brought us back to the 70's with Grease's duet 'Summer Lovin'

Electra and Jud got nasty rapping 'Colt 45'

Felix melted our hearts with 'Love Yourself'

Danica, Calia and friend had us all grooving with the classic 'Roses' by Outkast

Becca and Amelia Harvey rekindled our teenage grunge phase with Avril Lavine's 'Complicated'

Eleni couldn't help but sing along ...

The boys followed with Baby Got Back.  Max got really into it.

Riki Davis and Danica rocked the crowd with Mr. Brightside

We wrapped it up with Hotline Bling, with everyone dancing

Amelia was stoked at the turnout. She really hoped to create a more casual environment than the regular Open Mics, which was exactly what it was. The next Kareoke will be on April 15th at 6:30.
