AUP gets Snapchat-savvy with new geofilter
If you were not a Snapchat user before, now you have a reason to be. Since October 21st, there is an American University of Paris geofilter on Snapchat. The app features the emblematic AUP logo, which you can add to your pictures. Louise Chester, Online Communications Director for AUP submitted the geofilter for the university and said "I was aware that there was increasing interest among our students to be able to tag their snaps with our logo while they are on and around our urban campus."

In addition to creating a geotag, the University Communications Department also made a Snapchat account (@AupSnaps) which has already amassed more than 250 followers. The account showcases various student-submitted snaps from around campus.
While one new geofilter is already reason for excitment, the University Communications Department is is lauching a design competion among students to find an additional. Interested students should follow the University's news site and social media feeds for forthcoming details. The best logo will be submitted to the Snapchat team as a secondary geofilter to use on campus.
