You'll feel like Marie Antoinette at these exclusive performances for students.

The Opera de Paris has created a new offer called the Avant-Première to encourage young people to attend their productions at the elite Opera Garnier. While tickets are normally pricey and hard-to-get, the company has organized a new performance for young people, with tickets sold at just 10€ each. Even if you think opera isn't your thing, the company also offers ballet and concerts, and the building is one of the most beautiful in Paris -- in fact, it's the setting of the Phantom of the Opera, who might be lurking in box five.

So, how to get your opera fix on the cheap? Tickets go on sale about a month before the show, but keep in mind that only certain spectacles will have student Avant-PremièresYou start by making an account on the company's website, then you go to this page to find the schedule for the ticket sales. Buying begins at 11:30am on the release date and places sell rapidly. You are only allowed two tickets per account, and if you want to bring a friend be sure they are under 28 as well. On the day of the show, bring your ID with your tickets -- and enjoy!

There are also last minute places at regular performances sold at a special price to students. If any are available, they will be sold until 30 minutes before the curtain rises for the price of 35€ for operas and 25€ for ballets and concerts.
