The AUP library is moving to a new home.

AUP is continuing its work on the improvement of the campus buildings. Last year, it was the Amex in Combes and this year we have the Grenelle Building. Unlike the Amex which is a social area meant for hanging out with friends and having some food and drinks, the Grenelle Building will be for academic work.

The goal is for the renovations to be finished around Spring Break in March. The idea is that Grenelle building will go from a building full of classrooms to a full-on academic center. One of the biggest changes coming with the renovation is that the library will be moved from its location on Rue de Montessuay to Rue de Grenelle. This helps centralize the purpose of the Grenelle Building as a place where you will be able to get all of your academic needs in one place.

The basement will be full of library books, the first floor will be open studying areas with computer rooms, the second floor will be more study areas, and the top floor will be offices for internships, career counseling, and academic advising. This building will offer a large amount of study areas along with the important things that come along with the academic experience. You will be able to go right upstairs to work on internships and careers, which are all crucial to your success in finding a job after college.

These changes may take some getting used to but it is a great and welcomed change. Students will no longer have to attempt to work in crowded and loud areas in the other buildings or walk 10 minutes out of their way to get to the library where they can have silence and a nice working space. Grenelle is in close proximity to the other buildings and just what you need to get your homework done.

In the spring come out to the Grenelle Building and enjoy all the academic plethora it offers the students of the American University of Paris.
