If you were too hungover this morning to remember what happened last night, we have you covered.

On January 28th, Editor-in-Chief Ariana Mozafari and her team celebrated the launch of PEACOCK's latest magazine for Winter 2015. Joining her at the Chez Qhuit venue for an intimate aperotif was a large group of American University of Paris students, Parisians and the artists, journalists, photographers, graphic designers and editors who contributed to the latest issue. PEACOCK may be a student-run, anglophone magazine, but they treat it like a professional operation.

When I arrived at the magazine launch party at 7PM, they were already at capacity and there was a large crowd outside. It was a great turnout for the magazine, which has been celebrating the vibrancy of youth culture in Paris since 2011. (The free drinks probably didn't hurt, either.)

Show-casing emerging talent from Europe, Asia and the US, contributors are given the freedom to demonstrate and discuss their craft while entertaining readers with topics ranging from the current refugee crisis to the emerging sugar dating scene in France. Based on the large gathering at the party they will have no trouble expanding on their audience.

PEACOCK's magazine and online site has delved into France's influence on skate culture, so their partnership with Chez Qhuit and Sailor Jerry Rum for the get-together was fitting. Held in the chic skate shop in Paris’ trendy Montmartre neighborhood, it was just a short bus or metro ride from campus and easily accessible for students. The setting was also perfect for AUP outsiders to attend and feel like they were a part of the new vibe that PEACOCK is aiming to impose. Not to mention Ches Qhuit has some pretty cool merchandise that I need to put on my Christmas wish-list.

The magazine itself was scattered throughout the space, allowing passersby to scan through the articles as they sipped on rum. Although the alcohol seemed to run out around 8pm, the party continued with photographers snapping away at guests and networking.

The next issue of PEACOCK Magazine will be released around May of 2016, pick up a copy of the Magazine at AUP, look for them at restaurants, bars, and shops around Paris, or online
