The 5 Best Lunch Spots in Paris for Just Over €10

Finding a quick place to lunch well in Paris is always a headache, especially when you want to juggle between price and quality. Here is my selection of the 5 best spots for around €10.

1. Mum Dim Sum

Mum Dim Sum is a paradise for Dim Sum lovers. This new fast-food chain overjoy anyone who lost all hope of finding great Dim Sum in Paris. For about €5 you can order any type of 3-Dim Sum — from shrimp to lime chicken and spicy pork. Made daily in the kitchen of Mum Dim Sum, they are steamed in right front of customers. If you are not a sitdown restaurant type, they also have a takeaway store.

2. Clasico Argentino

Who has never wished to eat the tastiest homemade empañadas in town. Clasico Argentino provides what’s best when it comes to this famous Argentinian dish. From empañadas con pollo, quezo or cebolla, the spanish translation for chicken, cheese and onions, Clasico Argentino offers a variety of delicious empañadas. Their five different locations could not make it easier for Parisians: there is almost certainly a restaurant nearby. For €12.50, you get 3 empañadas, a green salad and a cup of homemade helado (as Spaniards say for ice cream).

3. Daily Syrien

Basam and his team have merged a newsstand with a restaurant to create one of the best Syrian eateries in Paris at a spot they proudly call “Station Falafel“. Located in the crowded rue du Faubourg Saint-Denis, they serve a variety ofshawarma, mezze as well as their renowned labneh (salted cottage cheese with olive oil). They warmly welcome their guests at any time of day and make your experience a great adventure. The cozy central wooden-table enable the guest to socialise over their lunch break. A must-try is their combo for €9,50: one shawarma, one mezze and a soda.

4. Bellota-Bellota

With their three boutique restaurant in Paris, Bellota-Bellota has created an institution. Serving on the plancha bocadillo as they say in the Basque Country to designated sandwiches, Bellota-Bellota has build its reputation by serving what they call they best ham of the world. For €10 everyone can try its taste in a bocadillo with salad, a toasted baguette and a few other condiments at the taste of each guest.

What you want to eat when you go to Kotteri Naritake Ramen is a bowl of ramen. The Japanese chiefs in this 22-seat restaurant work their ramen daily in the kitchen. You can choose between two different stocks, one from soy sauce and one from soy paste. The ramen goes from €10 to €14 depending on what toppings you want to add. The more you add, the greasier it gets. Remind them to prepare your ramen sapori, which is the lightest ramen they have.
