The "Giving in Paris" organization lets you share the best part of Thanksgiving with France.

At this time of year, we all need to be thankful for our luck in having a home, family and friends, because many people in this world don't. To that end, why not spread some much needed joy with the people living on the streets of Paris? Being abroad gives us a chance to share the best part of Thanksgiving (the "giving") by helping others; the weather is colder and a warm meal could really make a difference in someone's life.

"Giving in Paris" is an organization that has planned a Thanksgiving home cooked meal for refugees and homeless in Paris. They have a fund-raising site, and it would take just a few minutes of your time to donate (it is completely safe). There is one day left and you can still make a difference in someone's life. Think about it.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to remember that while we all enjoy overindulging with our families and friends, we should thank the indigenous American Indians that actually helped early settlers survive and remember that for many of them, it's actually a day of mourning
