Find out where to count down to the results of America's most nail-biting election yet.

As the campaigning finally comes to an end, everyone around the world is becoming more and more anxious about the final results.  Whatever the result, discovering it the morning after in Paris's cold, gloomy weather is not going to be a very satisfying moment. Even if you are satisfied, you will have missed a truly historical event. So why not make the event a party? At least that way, you can easily celebrate, or drown your sorrows. Enjoy this anxiously awaited event with your fellow Americans in Parisian style.

Opéra Block Party

During election night, the rue Daunou at Opéra will become a hotspot for anyone who is interested in watching the culmination of many months of political dissent. The street will be closed to traffic, and is sure to be filled with people waiting for both the sunrise and the results. This street is known for its variety of American bars; Harry's Bar is arguably the most well-known. While Harry's will close at midnight on November 8, you can still watch the results on the many viewing screens set up right in the street, or head to the American Dream, the biggest American bar in Paris. With 450 seats for eager Americans, the stadium-like venue will show the election coverage until it closes at 2AM. American Dream can be found at 21, rue Daunou.

Joe Allen

If you don't enjoy the party at Opéra, but don't want to travel too far, Joe Allen is just one metro stop away. This restaurant is the perfect place for an easy-going night, featuring delicious American comfort food. They even have a 40 euro, all-you-can-eat buffet for election night; however, reservations are recommended for this popular event. Burgers, salads and pork ribs are some of the classics found on their menu. This American oasis is located at 30, rue Pierre Lescot.

Pershing Hall

All of the fanciest Parisians and expats will be attending the election party at Pershing Hall, a luxurious hotel once home to General John Pershing, at 49, rue Pierre Charron. The event will feature a fixed menu, including two drinks, a small dinner and pastries for 80 euro. The hotel will convert guests rooms, equipped with big-screen TVs, into viewing areas, while live concerts will be held in the courtyard. The event will continue until 6AM, with a strict black-tie dress code. Tickets are available online and at the door.

Palais Maillot

While America debates whether Trump or Clinton will win, the last thing you'll want to do is spend lots of money to see it. For a more thrifty experience, Palais Maillot has you covered. For 10 euro entry, enjoy the live CNN coverage on big screens—entry even includes a free drink. To make the Americans feel at home, hot dogs and burgers will be sold all evening. The party lasts all night, ending at 6AM. Palais Maillot can be found at 2, Place de la Porte Maillot.

Last but definitely not least, the Carreau du Temple (4, rue Eugène Spuller) will be hosting the ultimate US election party. It is as official as possible, as it is jointly hosted by The Embassy of the United States of America and the Mairie du 3ème. Join journalists, specialists and expats at this 12-hour event featuring concerts, several American buffets, debates and movies, all related to American politics and the 58th Presidential Election.
