Celebrities sported chic, yet modern looks, striking casual glamour perfectly at this year's Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles.

A classic sensibility was the cornerstone this year at the 25th Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The star-studded event was the perfect place to showcase an amazing balance of modern glamour with classic influences.

Stone wore a Louis Vuitton pantsuit, following a shift on red carpets this year from ultra-femme gowns to an often more powerful pant combination. However, the look was not without classic feminine motifs, including a large bow and stunning gold beads. She made room for the look to shine with a paired down messy updo and a bold red lip.

Crazy Rich Asians star, Gemma Chan opted for a far different, yet still classic and undone look. She wore an elevated high-low Oscar De la Renta gown in a sweet, blush pink hue finished with a black ribbon around her waist.

Chan completed the look with the most classic accessories of them all—black pumps and diamond earrings, lending a perfect nod to Audrey Hepburn’s quintessential aesthetic. Following the overwhelming beauty trend, Chan also decided to wear a slightly undone updo with simple make up that allowed her natural beauty to shine.

BlakkKlansman nominee, Laura Harrier, opted for pink as well in a more vibrant look, reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe’s famous "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" gown. However, the dark-haired beauty elevated her classic silhouette with an on-trend puffy sleeve that fell gracefully off of her shoulders and a red lip that perfectly contrasted the hot pink Loewe gown.

No 2019 red carpet rundown would be complete without looking at what the legendary Lady Gaga has surprised us with. However, even the “A Star Is Born” actress herself, kept her look classic and sexy at the award show. She doted an all-white look, from her hair to her white pumps, with a show-stopping Dior Haute Couture gown featuring a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit, the shape giving an ode to old Hollywood gowns. To break up the angelic white, she opted for edgier makeup than many of her fellow nominees with a 1920s dark crimson lip and dramatic eye.

Though the women often steal the spotlight when it comes to red carpet looks, many of the men at the SAG awards served up classic and cool looks worth admiring this year.

John Krasinski was classically handsome in Isaia with an unexpected hunter green look and a classic tuxedo shape. He kept a relaxed look, however, with nicely trimmed scruff and perfectly imperfect bedhead.

Many men walked the red carpet with subtle pops of color, including Dave Franco, who resembled a young James Dean, opting for a navy Dior tux that felt fresh with the black satin lapel and matching bowtie.

Lastly, and perhaps most surprisingly, Chris Pine made a bold statement in an all-white Ermenegildo Zenga XXX tuxedo. He kept the all-white choice looking classic with a double-breasted jacket perfectly tailored to his shape and well-groomed hair.

The looks at the 2019 SAG Awards were endless, but these celebrities benefited from keeping with classic Hollywood glamour, with many of them hitting the best-dressed lists in viewers' minds. The beauty shown, coupled with these looks, only serve to make us more excited to see what’s to be expected at the Academy Awards later this month.
