If you are bored with the typical Western fashion designs and would like to freshen up your style, check out the new collection from Japanese designer Issey Miyake.
The well-known designer from the land of the rising sun presented his spring/summer 2016 collection on October 2nd during Paris Fashion Week. It looks like Miyake was inspired by cinema, especially movies like The Hunger Games and the saturated colors of The Grand Budapest Hotel.

Colorful and cozy, le tricot and inflated pieces with lots of pleats incorporated in a whimsical design that is so appropriate for this age of arts and cinema. The collection draws attention to volume, patterns, and kaleidoscopic colors. Three-dimensional fabrics were specially created with the help of computer program. Color pallet - all colors. Miyake combines red, purple and yellow in one outfit while adding complex patterns on top.

Fascinated by arts and design since childhood, Miyake has worked for many celebrated fashion designers including Balenciaga, Givenchy, Guy Laroche. In 1970 he created his own fashion brand, Issey Miyake, and presented his first collection to the public in Tokyo and New York in 1973. Today the brand is still true to its original DNA but continues to expand and evolve with  menswear and a range of accessories including bags, jewelry, and watches. In 1990 he launched a successful fragrance,  l'eau d'issey, which is like Chanel N5 of the Oriental fragrances.

The new collection is certainly distinct to the traditional expression of national style. Miyake's clothes are made to attract attention for their originality and creativity. In addition to unusual styles and colors, Miyake is using the latest technologies in tailoring, like the stream-stretch which he invented. Experimenting with form and texture, he creases the fabric, incorporating unusual details into each piece. It is a work of a true artist.

For anyone who is into creative and unusual ideas, oversize style, grunge, and casual wear, Miyake's spring/summer 2016 collection is just it. It is a definite success.
