Everything Students Should Know About the New Mac update

Split Screen

When you are writing a research paper, you will find that you spend lots of time changing screens from one to another. With El Capitan, you can fit your screen with two apps in a full-screen view. The size of windows will be automatically adjusted while you can also customise it as you want. Now you can message your friends in Message while you are writing a group essay in Pages, or keep watching a movie in Safari while checking your email in Mails.
Mission Control

By opening Mission Control App or hitting F3 on your Mac, you can access Mission Control to organise your apps and desktops. All the windows on your desktops will arrange themselves to single layer with nothing stacked or hidden. At same time, the windows on Mission Control will be on the same relative location as on the desktop, so you can easily spot them.
Spotlight

Spotlight has never been smarter before! Now in El Capitan, you check weather of anywhere in the world without opening your browser. Simply type weather+location and Spotlight will deliver the information.
Spotlight also learned to use "natural language", so you can just type in "document I made yesterday" and Spotlight will show you the matched result. It also applies to email, webpage and Notes.
