Confused about what's going on in U.S. politics? No idea where to go from here? This Thursday's panel has the answers.

The group Democrats Abroad of France will be hosting a panel on "Current Initiatives in Democracy." Mark your calendars for tonight, Thursday, February 23rd! From 6:30PM - 8:30 PM in the Combes building at AUP. Democrats Abroad France, one of the largest DA chapters in the entire world, has been hosted by the American University of Paris many times before. The group serves as a branch of the Democratic Party. DA has its own council representatives (similar to state representatives) within the Democratic National Committee. In fact, Democrats Abroad sent 21 delegates to the Democratic National Convention last summer.

Politics aside, let's talk politics. Next Thursday's panel is being held and moderated by DA's Youth Caucus. Among those speaking will be AUP's very own director of the Center for Critical Democracy StudiesProfessor Stephen Sawyer. Directed towards college students and young working professionals, topics such as "voter participation and technology, participatory v. representative democracy, and the role of city governments in democratic innovation" will be discussed. Stop by and answer everyone's most burning questions about today's modern democracy: What now?
