Cloud Nothings was born from the discovery of the tracks of a young Cleveland teen, Dylan Baldi, on his MySpace profile in 2010. By January of the following year, Baldi and his band were signed by several labels and had published their debut album. Their brand of lo-fi pop lands them not far on the spectrum from other groups like the Japandroids and The Babies and promises for a rocking show.

Cloud Nothings - Hey Cool

December 7: Baio

Origin: USA

When and where: 8:00 PM, Le Pop-Up du Label, 14 Rue Abel, 75012

New Yorker Chris Baio, the bass guitarist of Vampire Weekend, took his ambitions and left the Big Apple for London in 2015 to focus on his project Baio. In September of that year, Baio released "The Names," exploring his personal style of synth pop. Check out this concert if you want to groove to light vibes.

Baio - PHILOSOPHY!

December 13: Rone

Origin: France

When and where: 8:00 PM, Le Trianon, 80 Boulevard de Rochechouart, 75018

Another MySpace discovery, Erwan Castex hails from the greater Paris area and is better known as Rone. With four albums to his name, this 80s kid is sure to charm you with his electronic beats. He is moving up in the music world, having performed at several festivals this summer. Catch him up near Pigalle.

December 16: Joel Hierrezuelo Quintet

Origin: Cuba

When and where: 9:00 PM, Sunset, 60 Rue des Lombards, 75001

The music of this Cuban quintet has been featured on lounge mixes and meditation track lists, but the namesake himself identifies primarily with jazz. What better place to snag a swinging show then right on the Rue des Lombards, famously one of Paris's leading jazz quarters?

December 19: Soulwax

December 22: Pandrezz

Before you head off for the holidays, round out the season with another young Parisian producer, Pandrezz, who gained fame by remixing sounds from anime and video games, more often than not under the influence of hip-hop or electro. He recently launched a YouTube channel to share his work and has also collaborated with Ichiban Japan in their documentary series of the nation, for whom he composes the soundtracks.
