Forget Shakespeare & Co. Find new reads at these Insta-worthy bookstores

If you ask most anyone at AUP where you can get English books in Paris, the first answer you will get is Shakespeare & Co. Not to take any praise away from the famously known bookshop and café but you can find the same books and have that old-feel experience in many other shops for a far more affordable price. That's why I am here to broaden your horizons and take you with me through used bookstores with hidden treasures.

1. Used Book Café

Located in Le Marais, this café brings you two things we love: food and endless stories. They have a library with over 10,000 books that you can choose from and a menu with a variety of foods that will only have you drooling.  You can also enjoy their store which offers various kinds of little trinkets.

This little shop is filled with books, you will find them stacked on the floor, on top of the shelves, everywhere. You could spend an entire afternoon looking around the shop and still not get through nearly half of the titles.

Brought over from the Bay Area, this bookshop is one of the most organized of them all. Besides looking around for books you have the added benefit of being able to sit around and read as well as enjoy some coffee or tea.

I encourage you all to walk out into the streets we love so much and enjoy these small shops that have so much to offer.
